About a month ago, my riding teacher asked me if I could take care of her puppies while her family was on vacation. I said yes immediately. After all, who can resist puppies?
I did know that neither puppy was fixed, but it never occurred to me that the little girl would come into heat at my house. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened. The kids got a good lesson in sex education, and I got to go to invest in a pair of doggie diapers.
When Ryan saw them, he shook his head and said, "Mama, this just isn't right."
Bea doesn't mind, though. With or without a diaper, she knows she's cute!

This is why I'm all for pediatric spay.
I have always had my girls spayed before their first heat so this is all new territory for me. Can't say I'm enjoying it. After five straight days of doggie porn, even my kids are saying they will NEVER own a dog that hasn't been fixed.
