After the great plumbingfiasco of 2010, I was hoping to never, ever see a backhoe in my front yard again. Sadly, the recentfloods caused a giant sink hole to form in the middle of the yard, and eventually the clean water line failed.
We hired a better contractor this time, and instead of digging one big hole, he trenched the entire yard.
He also fixed the bad faucet that's been giving us trouble for years.
That's the new clean water line. I hope I never see it again.
I'm usually pretty good at rolling with the punches, but not this time. I am still recovering from my accident, and just couldn't handle the thought of dealing with Halloween trick or treaters. We turned out our lights, put a sawhorse in front of the front walkway, and for all intents and purposes, Halloween was cancelled.
Ryan didn't care. At thirteen, he's too old for trick or treating anyway. James wasn't quite as ready to forgo the annual candy fest, so he decided to go with the Ayas.
He came home with a big bag of candy, most of which was m&m's. He sorted them into colors...
