Wrap star

Usually, after someone unwraps a Christmas present, the paper goes right into a trash bag. This year, however, it was placed on Emma instead.
The pile grew...
and grew.
She didn't care.
She'd have stayed in the pile all day...
if someone hadn't objected.
Good girl, Emma.
You are our wrap star.

Merry little Christmas

We must have been good this year because Santa left a lot of presents under our tree.
We gathered together in the living room to open them.
Except for Darcy. Darcy had suspicions and stayed in the hallway.
Open the packages!
I got candy corn candles.
Seth got socks.
James got a gaming headset...
and heart-shaped sunglasses.
Ryan got a block heater...
and tuition money.
Emma got a new sibling.
Twins.
It was a nice Christmas.

Pilgrimage

Last night, the Buxton family...
went to Nick's Garden Center...
to buy a Christmas tree.
It was cold...
and the trees were expensive.
Sorry, James. No pink tree for you!
After a lot of looking...
and a lot of silly pictures...
we finally found just the right tree and a whole bunch of free candy canes. Don't take them all, James!

Christmas stockings

Christmas morning begins with the stockings.
Ryan can barely contain his excitement.
Woo hoo!  James got M&M's!
Woo hoo!  Ryan got M&M's!
Woo hoo!  Seth got M&M's!
They all got underwear, too.

Christmas Eve

Everybody gets to open one present on Christmas Eve...
so it's important that you pick a good one!
James got a donkey...
and a robe,
Ryan got a quadricopter...
and Seth got jellybeans.

Early Christmas

We went to Carol's house for dinner...
and Christmas.
We each had a gift under the tree.
Ryan got Circus Peanuts.
So did James.
Hmmmm.  This doesn't feel like Circus Peanuts.
Wooden spoons!
I also got a rat, which James stole...
and two ponies...
(they're finger puppets)...
that Emma wants to steal.  Stay away, bad dog!
