Flower Mound

We visited Seth's parents in Flower Mound Texas over Spring Break.
While we were there, Papa took us to see the actual Flower Mound.
As you can see, there aren't a lot of flowers.
We found a few, though.
See?
We also found some blue bonnets.
These weren't on the mound.
Mostly, they were in Nana and Papa's front yard.

Checkmate

Papa taught James how to play chess.
James really, really likes chess.  Now that Papa's gone home, he needs to find a new opponent.  Any takers?

The office

Seth took his parents to see his office yesterday.  Since I hadn't seen the new building yet, I tagged along, too.

We drove over Dam Road.
Seth loves this drive, and it's not hard to understand why.
The view on both sides of the road is pretty awesome!
After seven quick miles, we arrived at Mercury.
We rode the elevator up to the fourth floor and found our way to cubicle city.
The co-worker never takes a day off!
The official name sign tells us...
that we've found Seth's desk.
We crowded in and checked it out!
Seth is especially proud of his unofficial title...
and unofficial employee badge.

Y2K babies

Here are some pictures of the first meeting of the Y2K Buxton boys. These were taken at Nana and Papa's old house in Overland Park, Kansas.

Lucas is wishing he had some spiffy shoes like Ryan's.
Baby talk.
Pile up.
A couple other pictures from the same trip. This is Nana and Lucas.
Papa and Lucas. Apparently I didn't think to take pictures of Nana and Papa with either of their other grandkids. Oh well!

Almost Easter 2002

Nana and Papa visited us in our little duplex shortly before Easter of 2002. I think this was the first time they met James.Seth with an armful of trouble.
Of course we didn't know how much trouble, yet. They look pretty sweet and innocent here. Two year old + Easter grass = Big Mess. I was picking this stuff up for weeks after Nana and Papa's visit. My turn to sit on the futon and pose for the camera.
I really like this brothers picture.

More holiday pictures

As far as Ryan and James are concerned, Christmas is all about the presents.Fortunately, there were lots of presents under the tree on Christmas Day 2008.
Ryan unwraps another flying machine.James checks out Ryan's Lego Mars Mission Mother Ship, and then heads back to the tree in search of more presents. Comparing notes.
The peanut gallery watches the action from the safety of the couch.
Capturing the chaos still from the couch.Once the presents were open, Ryan and Papa sat down at the table to figure out the electronic toys.
James' big gift was a new, blue scooter.
I think he likes it.Yep, he definitely looks happy!
Mom and Dad gave Ryan a voice changing megaphone. This was voted Most Annoying Gift by all the adults.
Christmas isn't just for kids. Abbie enjoyed her edible card. Maggie had a card too, but she was too traumatized by the voice changer to come out and pose for pictures.
