I am three weeks old in this picture. Colleen is four. She does not look excited to have a baby sister. Probably she was still disappointed that I was not a boy.
This picture was taken a month later in March 1969. Yay! Colleen is smiling. Maybe she's forgiven for being a girl. Or maybe she just likes my soft baby ears...

I don't remember the purple dress...
but I do remember the multicolored sweater in the pic of us in the pink and white tante dresses. It was around for a long time. I always wanted to wear it, but I couldn't stand the wool. Way too itchy for me.
Mom was kind of va-va-voom, huh?
