I made a memory box with my dear Miko's collar and a little plastic envelope of her fur in it. i save fur from my animals and tape it to the backs of pictures, too.
I did keep a lock of her tail hair, and I had her cremated so eventually I'll have ashes, too. Still, it's really hard to vacuum away all the other random fluffies...
Misty has been gone 2 years now. She was a Sheltie, and VERY hairy. Whenever we rounded up hair bunnies, we called them Mistys. We still do.
if you find enough hair we could knit a scarf!
