More dog park
It's hard to remember that Darcy used to be afraid of the water. Now she jumps right in.
Splash! And away she goes!
Happy dog.

Dog park, part one
We took Darcy to the Cherry Creek State Park dog park today.
The boys packed their pocket knives...
and Darcy packed her running shoes.
She's really fast! "Can't catch me!"
Seth found a big stick.
Darcy wanted it. Darcy got it!
Yay, Darcy!
This game can go on forever...
and Darcy always wins.
Darcy with her stick.
Eventually we made our way to the cliffs overlooking the creek.
Darcy loves the cliffs as much as she loves the stick game. She ran up.
She ran down.
She ran all around!
Not everything was fun and games, though. These dogs shunned her...
and this one tried to take her out! Poor Darcy!
Fortunately, Darcy is resilient. She shook off her troubles...
smiled... and kept on running!

Bot boy
Ryan's robotic team took part in a state competition in Colorado Springs today.
They finished in fourth place, which wasn't quite good enough for a trophy but he did get a nifty shirt! March 2012

The party that almost wasn't
What happens if you have a party and no can come?
You call the Beutels, of course! The people in charge at the Brunswick Zone took one look at those faces and moved our "party" to the most distant lane.
Concentration.
Anticipation.
Celebration!
This is Nate giving Ryan a few bowling pointers...
and this it Ryan totally ignoring him. Why is Nate so happy? I can't be sure but I think it might have something to do with one of his many gutterball spares.
First game scores. I bowled in Luis' place since he appeared to be a no-show.
And then...
After Luis arrived, the party kicked into high gear. This is Ryan perfecting his frat boy drinking skills.
Game two was won by Nate.
High fives for the champion.
By this point, the party was nearly over. There was just enough time left to unwrap a few gifts...
and spend a few dollars in the arcade.
It may not have been the party he'd planned, but James still declared it the Best Party Ever.
