Well, my Nicky could give Darcy some competition to be reckoned with. His sudden, explosive bark, on hearing a leaf fall on the lawn or a butterfly land on a flower - can make you jump two feet out of your chair. He is also capable of barking for more than half an hour if you are out gardening or such, and he *knows* you are there and wants you to come back in!
