My camera broke in October and I have been using a loaner ever since. It's not as good as my big camera but it does have one advantage: it takes videos. Here's one from yesterday.

Still my favorite
The boys and I are working on Christmas pictures today, but no matter how hard we try I don't think we'll be able to top this one.

Darcy at the dog park
I paid ten dollars for this internet connection so I'm determined to get my money's worth.
Otherwise there is no point to these pictures except I thought they were cute.November 2010
More pictures from Copper Mountain
Apparently spending a day on the slopes is quite exhausting. These are the Buxton men in their post slopes stupor.
Or maybe it's a post Martinellis stupor? Both kids were hitting the bottle pretty hard last night...
Ryan and I.

They weren't very peppy this morning either.
Poor James. I think he's broken!
We sent Seth off to the slopes by himself while the kids and I walked around the Village.

Just James.

Darcy Skyler Mona Buxton
Darcy has been a member of our family for almost two months so I guess it's time to properly introduce her. This is Darcy Skyler Mona Buxton. She was found on a road in Alamosa and was transferred from there to the Dumb Friends League in Denver.
These first few pictures were taken at the Dumb Friends League the day we met her.

We knew she was the right one when she laughed at all Seth's funny faces!
Darcy at home. When we first got her she was 18 pounds and the tips of her ears were floppy.
Now she is almost thirty pounds and her ears stand straight up!
Two red heads on the bed.
Everyone loves Darcy...even Maggie!

Copper Mountain!
This has not been my favorite year ever, but at least it seems to be ending on a high note. This weekend we lucked into a free two night stay at the Tucker Mountain Lodge in Copper Mountain, Colorado.
Our condo is on the second floor. This is the view from the balcony. We are right in the Village. It is a very short walk from our door to the lifts.
Here are the Buxton men hanging out in the kitchen before hitting the slopes.
Ryan says he could live here full time.
James surprised me by bringing (and doing) some homework. Psst! James, that's not due until January 3!
After a morning on the slopes, James warmed up in a blanket...
while Ryan checked his email.

Maggie and Basil
Basil is the last surviving Spice Girl... and sometimes it's a wonder that she's managed to last this long.
Poor Maggie. She really is the sweetest and most tolerant dog in the world.December 2010
