Changing of the guard

Vehicle maintenance has always been one of Seth's duties, but Ryan decided to tackle the most recent Jetta repair.

Seth gave him a little guidance, and Katie was there for moral support.

Mostly, however, this one was all Ryan.

 I think he's got this.

Ryan's first hike

I have been scanning old photos for Ryan's graduation party slideshow and came across these from his very first hike.

I don't remember the specifics, but Seth, Abbie...

Ryan and I headed up into the mountains sometime in the summer of 2000.

I don't think Ryan was impressed... 

but Abbie had a good time.

Today is the Overland High School Prom.

Ryan picked up Katie and brought her here so I could take lots of pictures...

South Dakota then and now

Here is a picture of me at Mt. Rushmore in 1991 and also last month. The state signs have changed, and so have I!

This is the Crazy Horse Memorial also in 1991 and 2018. It has changed less I think.

Beep beep

Last month Carol and I went on a four day, best friends road trip to North and South Dakota. I've been writing about it on my Braymere blog, but most of the extra pictures are going to end up here. This group of photos was taken in Badlands National Park on the first day of our trip.
