Halloween 1987

I think 1987 was probably the last year I willingly dressed up for Halloween. My roommate Ronda and I and some other friends from our dorm dressed as gypsies and went to the "Mall Crawl" in Boulder.These pictures were taken at Michelle and Angela's parents' house in Longmont where we spent the night.

Puppy kisses

James loves to kiss dogs and have dogs kiss him back.Sometimes the dogs are obliging. Sometimes they're not.

Pictures from today

Ryan and James went to a "Spooktacular Feast" cooking class today at the Expo Park Rec Center. Here they are clowning around in their aprons. James thinks the Jack O' Lantern punch is extremely tasty. Ryan shows off a Stuffed Spider and a Mummy Toe.Ummmm, yummy!

Maybe next time, they'll make dinner for me, too.

Christmas 1997

Seth and I spent Christmas 1997 in our little duplex on Barwood Circle. We took Abbie for a walk on the train tracks near our house and she stepped on some broken glass and cut her paw. It was a deep cut and wouldn't stop bleeding, so we ended up spending the entire afternoon at the emergency vet hospital. Not the best Christmas ever!

Poor Abbie was pretty pitiful. She just lay on the floor and didn't move much for a day or two.

(I can't be sure, but I think the big box in the top picture contained the first of several sleeping bags Seth has bought me over the years.)

Best Pony Ever

This is Snickers. She belonged to Tom Sawyer Day Camp where I worked for four happy summers.I also was lucky enough to ride Snickers during the off season for two years. These pictures were taken in 1984 when she was stabled at Saison Stables in Duarte, CA.In this picture she's sharing a pen with her friend, CB. She's been dead nearly twenty years, but I still miss her.

First Post!

Tonight I was looking for a particular picture that I wanted to scan for my tack blog. I unearthed a giant tub of photographs and spent the entire evening sorting through it. I did not find the picture I was looking for, but it really didn't matter. I had such a good time looking at all the pictures I did find. I kept calling Seth over to look at this one or that one. He told me I should scan them so they'd last forever. I told him no, what I really needed to do is start another blog!

So this is my photo blog. It will have pictures from my life in no particular order. There will be lots of pictures of kids and dogs and horses. You have been warned.
