The elk were definitely the highlight of our recent visit to Rocky Mountain National Park, but we also enjoyed some of the Park's other attractions before we headed home.

We visited the riding stable even though it was closed for the season. Who wants to go on the Continental Divide ride with me next spring?

Ryan and James checking out the (locked) housing above the stables. Wouldn't it be great to live in the mountains and ride horses every day? Oh wait--I've done that and it was
great!

Aspen trees on the mountainside. We were a couple weeks too early for prime aspen viewing.

More scenery.

Still more!

Ryan enjoying a snack on a bench near a creek.

Seth and James watching a fish in that same little creek.

A picture of the fish.
